The Fisherman

This is a very important sketch/study for me as it one of the origins of what it later became a full on favourite painting of mine called ‘Fisherman on Land’. It is heavily inspired and influenced by what I use to see around me a lot as a child, growing up in Greece. The iconic figure of the fisherman ready to sail into the open sea and prepared to enter all sorts of different adventures. At least these were the kind of thoughts I was having at the time.
